A personal favourite among my original compositions, this is a setting for tenor, soprano, or mezzo-soprano and piano of one of the most wistful poems in the English language: 'Loveliest of Trees' by A. E Housman (1859-1936), Poem No. II from his evocative cycle, A Shropshire Lad  (1896).
